Talk about hot! Hot Stuff the Little Devil defined “hot” long before Paris Hilton first ordered room service! • Created in 1957, Hot Stuff was the rare Harvey character to receive his own title without first appearing as a back-up feature in other comics. Hot Stuff soon ignited a firestorm of controversy—a “devil” as a role model for America’s youth?! But his irascible yet lovable nature warmed the hearts of even the most volatile of critics and Hot Stuff went on to become one of Harvey Comics’ most popular stars. • This volume contains 110 of the very best tales of The Little Devil. The clever and beautifully-drawn stories are reproduced from crisp black-and-white printer’s proofs and original art from the old Harvey archives, along with sixty-four pages of color meticulously restored from the original comic book pages. • Though the incendiary Hot Stuff comics ceased publication in the 1980s, the Little Devil lives on as an American icon. No longer controversial, Hot Stuff appeals to young and old. After all, there’s a little devil in each of us.

““I really enjoyed working on Hot Stuff. He was a character that afforded lots of opportunities for pantomime. You could really exaggerate his characteristics and get a lot of laughs out of the guy. Sid Jacobson, the editor at Harvey, provided a great working environment and gave me plenty of leash to improvise, cut loose with my style, and try to do my best. Harvey was really in control of the kids comics market and I think it’s because we gave the kids good, solid entertainment without writing down to them. The stories in this book, drawn by Warren Kremer and myself, are still amusing and have stood the test of time. I applaud the revival of Hot Stuff and am delighted to have added my contribution to this small part of comics history.” —Howard Post
</body-html>
