Angle Family
The Angle family of fonts is based on German lettering of the 1920s. I think I came up with the letterforms myself (rather than stealing them from some old lettering sample). The letters are typical of the shapes one arrives at when using a certain kind of broad, flat-nibbed pen. The style is somewhat of a precursor to Koch’s Kabel, and now that I think of it, the style is transitional from gothic black letter, or ‘Old English’ to the Art Deco poster styles that I’ve exemplified in my Kobalt family of fonts.
