I’ve been a woodworker ever since I built go-carts in my father’s workshop as a child. When I bought my first house, I suddenly realized, “Wow, it’s my house, I can take down walls and build anything I want!” Since then I’ve built a few pieces of furniture, redesigned several bathrooms and kitchens, and I've also created interiors for a few commercial clients. I am interested in talking to clients who want to explore unusual, fantasy and/or period-style interiors. What differentiates me from most architectural designers and carpenters, is that I can draw. Sure, Eliel Saarinen and F.L. Wright could draw. But modern design owes its popularity to the fact that straight lines can be drawn by anybody, while an acanthus leaf can only be drawn by an artist. Two more reasons most modern designers fail when they attempt period designs: they have too little authentic reference material to guide them, and too much ego, which causes them to want to do it their way, not the accurate way. The price for such work will not be inconsiderable, but the results will be enthralling, incomparable, cool!
